Badrinath, Uttarakhand – May 4, 2025:
The sacred doors of Badrinath Dham have officially reopened for the 2025 Char Dham Yatra. With bright chants of “Jai Badri Vishal” echoing through the Himalayas, thousands of pilgrims gathered to witness the auspicious moment on Akshaya Tritiya. The opening ceremony was performed according to Vedic rituals, led by the chief Rawal (priest) of the shrine.

Record-Breaking Footfall Anticipated in 2025

According to the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Board, more than 20,000 pilgrims visited the temple on the first day itself. Due to high demand, the Uttarakhand government has increased online registrations and tightened travel guidelines to ensure safety.
